Safety: alarms, man overboard, anchoring

This chapter covers the functions that watch over the boat and crew. Navigation alarms monitor position, instruments, surrounding vessels and pressure. The man overboard function marks the point of the fall and estimates the person’s drift, and the anchor alarm sounds if the anchor drags, with an SMS alert and monitoring from another device.

  • Navigation alarms Beginner

Set the alarms that watch while you navigate: loss of GPS or NMEA data, heading, wind, depth, AIS collision, pressure, custom alarms and voice reading.

  • Man overboard (MOB) Beginner

Trigger the man overboard alert, follow the person's estimated drift, display a search pattern and react to an AIS MOB beacon.

  • Anchor alarm Beginner

Drop the anchor, set the swinging zone, arm the drag alarm, receive an SMS alert and monitor the boat at anchor from another device.
