POIs, Routes and ZOIs
This chapter explains how to place and manage your points of interest (POIs), draw and edit routes, and navigate to a point or along a route with GPS. It also covers exchanging POIs and routes with other software (GPX, KML, Adrena formats, ECDIS RTZ), the zones of interest (ZOIs) that routing can avoid, and automatic route drawing with C-MAP AutoRouting.
- Create and Edit a POI
Beginner
Place a POI on the chart, choose its name, icon and position, lock it, move it, and set the zoom level from which its details appear.
- POI List, Import and Export
Beginner
Sort and filter your POIs by name or distance, import them from GPX, KML or WP files, export them, share them and delete them in batches.
- Create and Edit a Route
Beginner
Draw a route on the chart or from your POIs, edit it, reverse it, duplicate it, read its details and indicate which side to leave each mark.
- Import and Export Routes
Expert
Exchange routes with other software and devices: GPX, KML, Adrena RT and ECDIS RTZ formats, importing several files, export and sharing.
- Navigate to a POI and Follow a Route
Beginner
Activate navigation to a POI, follow a route mark by mark with automatic switching to the next point, cross-track corridor, laylines and target locked on a POI.
- ZOIs (Zones of Interest)
Beginner
Draw no-go, slow or information zones, edit them, import them from a KML or .cl10 file (zones exported by Adrena) or from the text of the sailing instructions, and have routing respect them.
- C-MAP AutoRouting
Expert
Have C-MAP draw a detailed, safe route between your waypoints, taking draft and air draft into account, on your downloaded C-MAP zones.
